Monthly Meeting Notes
October 2011

The October 2011 meeting of the St. John's Austin Healey Club was held on Oct. 3, 2011 at the office of Rick Stevenson with ten members present.

Our treasurer, Andy Sanfilippo advised that we have an $$$$$ balance after expenses.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved.

Discussion was held on the Ancient City Car Show held on Sept. 24th in St Augustine. . Our Club had a good turnout and Tony Martini and Dyaarl Anderson received 3rd place in their class and Bill Young received a first. Congrats!

Also, we had three winners at the MG Classic-British Car Classic Car Show held on Oct. 1 at Buffalo's. Bill Young and Dyaarl Anderson both won first in their classes and Andy Sanfilippo won second in his class. Congrats again!

Plans were made for our trip to Guntersville AL for the SE Classic. We will have twelve members and six cars driving up on Wed., Oct. 19th and returning on Monday, Oct. 24th. Reservations have all been made and we're ready to go. Safe travels to all.

It was decided that those attending SE Classic would take notes and pay close attention to how this event is operated as we will be hosting it in 2013. Reports from all will be after our return.

Our president, Rick advised that new officers for 2012 will be elected at the November meeting so be ready to take your turn on the board. Andy did say that he would take the treasurer position again so that's taken care of. If you don't attend the next meeting you may find yourself voted in. :)

Paul Sandefer told us that once again he can get $30.00 tickets to the Rolex Race in Daytona on January 28-29, 2012. These are great tickets as you get to go in the pits and get a free hot dog. Let him know if you are interested.

Car restoration reports were given.

Andy and Judy Sanfilippo have once again offered to host our Christmas Party. It will be held on December 10, 2011 at 6 PM and everyone will bring a side dish and a gift. Once again the ladies are asked to bring a $25.00 gift to exchange with another lady, and the men are to bring a $35.00 Healey/Car related gift to exchange. Mark your calendars now with more details next month. Our December meeting will also be held at the party.

The November meeting will be held at 6:30 PM on Nov. 7th at Picasso's Pizzeria, 10503 San Jose Blvd. across from the Target.
