Monthly Meeting Notes
June 2011

The June 2011 meeting of the St. John's Austin Healey Club was held on June 6, 2011 at the home of Rick and Marilynn Stevenson with nine members present.

Andy Sanfilippo, the Club treasurer, advised that we have a balance of $$$$$$ in our account.

The minutes of the last meeting were accepted.

Tony Martini advised that the Tech Session at his house on May 14th was very successful. A lot of work was completed.

Car report: John is working on his bugeye (the Tech Session at his home scheduled for the weekend of June 17-19 was canceled)

Tony said that some members meet and make impromptu Sunday afternoon trips to various locations. If anyone wants to join them, call Tony and see what can be arranged.

Discussion was held on the 2011 Southeastern Classic to be held in Guntersville AL on Oct. 20-23, 2011. So far, Andy Sanfilippo, John Leenhouts, Tony Martini, Bill Young and Rick Stevenson are planning on attending. They will leave on Wed. Oct. 19. More details later. Also Tech Sessions for the cars driving to Alabama will be held on July 23rd and August 6th.

The remainder of the meeting consisted of Tony and Nancy Leenhouts reporting on details of the SE Classic that we will host on April 5-7, 2013. Fernandina Beach will close down five blocks in downtown for our car show. We will need to pay two policeman for security and rent port-a-pottys. They have talked to our hotel (the Amelia Hotel at the Beach) and city employees and everyone is very accommodating and helpful. Needless to say, there will be a lot of work to do and all Club members will be needed.

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF JULY MEETING: Our July monthly meeting will be held on MONDAY, JULY 11, 2011 at the home of Paul and Judy Sandefer, 2595 Windwood Lane, Orange Park, FL at 7:00 PM. Their phone number is 264-2887. This meeting was originally scheduled for July 4th.
