Monthly Meeting Notes
August 2010

The PLEASE NOTE: The Annual Ice Cream Social planned for Aug. 22 has been cancelled. We will reschedule for another, cooler time. When you have 43 days straight of temperatures in the 90's (will break a record in two more days) we felt it best not to take those Healeys out driving. Might be great in other parts of the country, but not here.

The August meeting was held on Monday, the 2nd at the home of Rick and Marilynn Stevenson. In attendance were Andy Sanfilippo, Gary & Vicki Martz, Dan Smith, Bill & Judy Young, Paul & Judy Sandefer, Dave Morton, Cindy Bridger, new member Jim Gray and of course, Rick & Marilynn.

The minutes of the last meeting were accepted. Our treasurer, Andy, advised that we have a balance of $$$$$$ in our account.

Rick advised that he has received parts for Andy Norton's car and will have a Shop Meet on Sat., Aug. 7th at 10 AM at his garage. Let him know if you can help get Andy's car up and running. (Notice went out on this event on Aug. 3rd)

The next discussion was on our Annual Shrimp Boil. It will be held this year on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 2 PM. Gary & Vicki Martz are hosting this year and their home is at 11440 Sedgemoore Dr. E, phone 268-7492. The Club will provide the ingredients for the low country boil, and members are asked to bring the extras. Please call Vicki and let her know if you will be attending and what you will bring. Appetizers, Salads, Desserts and Bread are what is needed. Also, if you wish to have a beverage other than soft drinks or water, please bring you own. (Please note this will also be our September monthly meeting)

Discussion was held on various day trips (when the weather cools off), including going to The Bridge, St. Augustine, Lakeland to the Lake Mirror Classic and of course, our famous Pub Crawl. We even discussed a cruise to Alaska (the heat is really getting to us LOL).

Paul gave a report on his new addition to his garage, and Dan, Gary and Bill all had restoration reports.

Bill Young advised that at the October meeting he and Tony Martini will present a very in-depth lecture on lubricants entitled "More Flow Less Pressure" I know you don't want to miss this. Mark your calendars!!!
