Monthly Meeting Notes
April 2010

The April 2010 meeting of the St. John's Austin Healey Club was held on April 5, 2010 at Wild Wings Cafe. In attendance were Tony Martini, Bill Young, Dyaarl Anderson, Sandy and Erling Onsager, Andy and Judy Sanfilippo, Bill Blackard, Paul and Judy Sandefer, Gary and Vicki Martz, Danny Smith, Bill and Charlene Maroney and Cindy Bridger.

Our treasurer, Andy Sanfilippo advised that we have a balance of $$$$$ in our account.

The Shop Meet scheduled for March 21st was postponed.

President Rick Stevenson was absent so Tony Martini called the meeting to order. Tony submitted the following report on the Pub Crawl held on March 28, 2010:

Our third annual Pub Crawl was held on Sunday, March 28th. Joining us for the crawl were Rick and Marilynn Stevenson, Erling and Sandy Onsager, Bill Young, Tony Martini and Paul and Judy Sandefer. We drove south on 13 to Rt. 16, crossed the Shands Bridge and had a great lunch at Ronnie's Wings in Green Cove Springs.

John Leenhouts joined us for lunch minus his car. Seems he had another obligation. As always the conversation was most enjoyable with lots of laughter included. After lunch we proceeded east on 16 to 210 past World Golf Village on one of the most beautiful roads in north Florida. We then proceeded north on Rt 1 to the Kings Head Pub where we had a little libation and some more conversation. We were presented with a challenge when we left, as the skies had begun to open up with some moderate rain. After helping Erling put the top and side curtains up on his 100 (the protective paper was still on one of the side curtain windows) we proceeded north and peeled off on our respective routes to home. It truly was a most enjoyable ride.

Also talked about the Legends on the Green Car Show to be held on April 24, 2010 at TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse. For information check www.mgclassic.org.

Discussion was held on the Southeastern Classic to be held in Ocala on May 13-16, 2010. Our club has six cars attending - they are, Bill Young, Andy Sanfilippo, Tony Martini, Dyaarl Anderson, Rick Stevenson and John Leenhouts. Travel details will be discussed at the next meeting.

Danny Smith handed out DVD's to everyone on The Austin Healey. Thank you so much Danny.

Erling Onsager handed out car magnets to be used when we're on our trips together. It reads "SJAHC On Tour" with the British flag and US flag and our Club logo. Thanks Erling - really neat.

The next meeting will be held at the home of Andy and Judy Sanfilippo, 7698 Hollyridge Dr. in Deerwood on Monday, May 3. The meeting will begin at 7:30 PM - no dinner served. Andy's phone number is 333-1817.
