Meeting Notes
September 2009
The September 2009 meeting of the St. John's Austin Healey Club
was held on Sept. 7, 2009 in conjunction with a Shop Meet at Tony Martini's
home. The Shop Meet was held from 9 AM to 3 PM and then a cookout and meeting
was held. Our surprise attendees were Andy and Yvette Norton - long time members
of the Club. It was so great to see you both. Thanks Tony for hosting us.
In the absence of our treasurer, we are assuming that our bank balance is still
$$$$$$.
Old Business:
Report on our Moonlight Run and Ice Cream Social held on August 29, 2009. This
event was a huge success as we had twenty-four people and seven Healeys attend.
We had dinner at Billy's Boathouse on the Intercoastal Waterway and then went
down to Ponte Vedra Beach to have ice cream at Yogaberry's. Thanks John for organizing.
New Business:
Shop Meet today was a huge success. Good turnout and lots of work done.
Tony Martini and Bill Young advised that they will be driving their Healeys up
to Tennessee Sept. 17-20 for the SE Classic. (Note: they are home safe and sound
and had a great time)
Sept. 26th is our 35th Annual Club Shrimp Boil to be held at the Leenhouts' Hangar
House. (Note: this event too, was a big success. Thanks John and Nancy)
We were reminded of the All British Car Show at Buffalo Cafe in Orange Park FL
on Oct. 17th. To find out details of this event, go to www.mgclassics.org
Discussion was held on ordering new Club shirts. Cindy will take orders and get
the shirts, hats and visors. (As of today, I have 27 shirts on order)
Paul Sandefer has suggested a Shop Meet at his home at 10:30 AM on Saturday,

The October meeting will be held at The Athen's Cafe, 6271 St. Augustine Rd.
#7, phone 733-1199. Dinner at 6:30 and meeting at 7:30. Our 2010 slate of officers
will be voted on, so be sure to be there or . . . . .
