Monthly Meeting Notes
November 2009

The November 2009 meeting of the St. John's Austin Healey Club was held on November 2, 2009 at the office of Andy Sanfilippo.   In attendance were Danny Smith, Paul Sandefer, John and Nancy Leenhouts, Rick Stevenson, Andy Sanfilippo, Bill Young, Bill Blackard, Erling and Sandy Onsager and Cindy Bridger.

The treasurer, Andy Sanfilippo, advised that we have a balance of $$$$$ in our account.  The dues notices for 2010 should be mailed out shortly.  As of now we have 28 members.The All British Car Show held on Oct. 17th at the Buffalo Cafe in Orange Park was a lot of fun and a success.   It was sponsored by the MG Club and had 60 cars in attendance, including five Healeys.Progress reports on Healey/Sprite restoration were given by Danny, Paul, Bill and Erling.

New officers for 2010 were elected and they are as follows:

Paul advised that the Annual Turkey Run would be held again at the Daytona International Speedway November 26 - 29, 2009.  If you register your car you can park in the infield of the track.  This is a car show and vendor show.  Several of our members will be attending and are planning on going down on Friday (the 27th).  If you plan on going contact Paul.  Their website is www.turkeyrun.com   You can find everything on that site.

Bill Young advised that he and Tony Martini are diligently working on the next Pub Crawl.  They are checking out all venues and will let us know the details of our next Crawl.

We also will have our annual Valentine's Day Brunch at the Jekyll Island Club on Sunday, February 14, 2009.   This is always a wonderful event and very well attended.  As always, John Leenhouts will be in charge of this and will advise us of the details later.Also, in the works, is a daytrip to High Springs for lunch on March 20th.    Details later.

Steve Kelly attended the car show in Safety Harbor put on by the Tampa Bay AHC on October 24th. He advises that there were over 200 cars there and he came in 2nd in class.
Congrats Steve. Good job.

Also, I distributed the shirts/hats/visors that were ordered at the October meeting. I still have orders for Steve Kelly, Tony Martini, Gary Martz and Lony Taylor. I will bring them to the Christmas party and also to the next meeting. Please make every effort to pick up your order. Thanks.

Our Christmas Party will be held on December 12, 2009 at the home of Dyaarl and Gail Anderson, 8377 Ft. Caroline Rd.  Phone: 743-0011. It will start at 6 PM and we are all asked to bring a party beverage of our choice.  Dyaarl and Gail will take care of the rest.  As in years past, all the men are asked to bring a $35.00 car related gift, and the ladies are asked to bring a $25.00 Christmas decor gift.  Please contact Dyaarl or Gail and let them know if you are attending. 

We will not have a meeting in December, but will start again on January 4, 2010.   Will let you know where.
